Hundreds of Muslim parents have kept their children home from school in the UK over the promotion of homosexuality.
The parents have expressed concern about Parkfield Community School’s “No Outsiders” programme. The school is located in Alum Rock, Birmingham.
They said the scheme was “not age appropriate” and “not what we send children to school for”.
More than 700 pupils aged from three to 11 previously attended the school in the predominantly Muslim area.
Parents said 80 per cent of children had been kept home.
The Alum Community Rock Forum said the pupils were pulled out of the classroom because the school undermined parental rights and promoted homosexuality.
