YouTube bans all comments on videos of children

YouTube says it will suspend comments on videos featuring children “that could be at risk of attracting predatory behaviour”.

The video-sharing website said that in the past one week alone, it disabled comments from “tens of millions of videos that could be subject to predatory behaviour”.

The move came after several brands stopped advertising on YouTube after discovering that paedophiles were leaving predatory comments on videos of children, the BBC reported.

YouTube also said it switched off “certain channels that attempt to endanger children”.
